Really hope bands like Van Halen, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Boston, and AC/DC start to get brought up in some lists as we go on. Seems like there's not enough Classic Rock guys in the Music Forum.

I'm sure we'll get some good lists. Let's stick on topic tho.

Does anyone know who the highest selling artist was in the 60's? Not including the Beatles?

I don't pay attention to record sales at all. I only care about the music.

Too bad record companies. If your favorite band would have flopped, a lot of these follow up albums wouldn't have seen the light of day.

Record sales played apart in things, but I'm guessing touring is where the real money was made.
I'm only speaking on the 60's and 70's.
