Following the long awaited release of his debut album (Cole World: The Sideline Story) last year and a rigorous touring schedule in support of it, J. Cole is ready to get things going on his next project -- a collaborative LP with Kendrick Lamar.

In a recent interview with Las Vegas' Bootleg Kev, Cole revealed that he and Kendrick have already knocked out several songs for the upcoming project, while clarifying the future of the recordings.

"We got maybe four or five [songs] together," the rapper said. "I just started working with Kendrick the other day. We got it in, finally, again.

"[It's gonna be an] album, man," Cole continued. "We actually worked, bouncing ideas, which was great. The vibe was so good that it's that's absolutely gonna happen."

As the interview continued, the Roc Nation recording artist also explained his recent Twitter hiatus, and express his issue over being left off MTV's "Hottest MC In The Game" list.

"I'm not on Twitter no more, I'm not doing it and I'm not going to," Cole said. "I'm sitting and on watching all these artists who I respect -- some of them are big artists -- on Twitter fighting for attention. Every tweet is like, I'm looking for attention. Retweet me! It comes from this place of fear, like I don't want people to forget about me. But really, your body of work speaks for you, so it's doing work even when you're not knowing it. But, because people ain't talking about you on Twitter or your mixtape ain't trending, you feel a certain kind of way. But when it's my time, I'm gonna load up all my clips and I'm gonna empty 'em out."

I know this is centuries old, but greatest debut album for ANY artist since Ye's College Dropout.
