This. Seriously, if we drop anybody, we don't need to ADD anyone. Nobody else that comes in here as any type of clue about music. I would rather keep people who aren't posting as "alumni" than simply drop to add people who aren't going to contribute in any type of meaningful manner.

Oh yea, I'll put my top 10 mixtapes of all time thread up this week after I finish up this shit for class.

Here are the criteria I am going to go with for the top 10 mixtapes of all time thread: (there are the areas we will discuss)

1. Impact (Personal)- How did this project define the artist? How does this project stand in reference to their definitive works? Is it their definitive work?
2. Game Changing- How did this project innovate to the point that other artists had to copy the blueprint?
3. Creativity- What did this mixtape do or sound like that separated it from others?
4. Replayability- How does this project hold up 5 years later? 10 years later?

I'm adding a rule that says the mixtape must be at least 5 years old to be considered in this discussion, as Artist mixtapes didn't really begin in earnest until 2001-2002 (50 Cent is The Future/Diplomats Vol. 1-- which are both going to be discussed and on this list), and I don't really feel that anything younger than that (maybe TML, but that is really the only special case) can really be a classic.

Thoughts?
