My prediction is that there will be major hype for the retro of the olympic 6s, people are gonna go bananas on them (a portion of people will just bandwagon and cop em because their friends are doing it and they feel the shoe is special but don't know why)
agreed.

some one said it already but it was hectic in the 90s too. jordans have always been wanted and desired. i think now though reselling has emerged as a way to make a quick buck, especially when you have a larger audience through sites like ebay or even here.

its so hard to get kicks now cause of stupid resellers
The following is not directly to you personally, but to the general mass in this forum that say those exact words. Also, I mean no disrespect to anyone when I say this, but it still boggles my mind.
For so many people that self proclaim themselves as "sneakerheads" and brag about being in the game for so long, how do you not have the hookups and connects to guarantee you a pair from someplace? If you've been in the "game" for as long as you say, shouldn't you have the networking/connects to have stores or employees set you aside pairs? Sure there are certain circumstances that might prevent you such as insanely limited release, online-only release, scarce amount of sneaker shops in your area, and etc..., but still, anyone that's been collecting shoes for more than a couple years shouldn't have to resort to camping or late night online stressing for a pair of GR Jordans. Some do it for the "experience," but that's a different story, which I don't believe..

I do recall some releases to be hectic releases like the OG CG XIs and the first pair of foamposites. But I do remember a time when I was able to get my Jordans the day of release in the afternoon or even weeks after(98-2003, maybe 04) I do miss those days when I'd just randomly walk in Footlocker or Footaction and just cop a pair of what's considered "heat" today. Someone quote me if they had it as good as I did almost a decade ago
I wish I had the money to buy all the VI lows that came out in 02, they were on display for such a loooooong time.
I thought paying close to 100 for a VNDS on ebay pair was crazy when I was in High school. Now it's just lowballing.

Hi, I'm JR (201)
Real recognize real.
The release of concords did not change the sneaker game, but kids who cop them and have absolutely no knowledge of what the shoe is about or the meaning behind it changes the sneaker game. Too many kids these days rocking jordans that don't know the significance of the shoe. I recently ran into some kid rocking them (probably a 17 year old) and I asked him about it, he couldn't answer me but to say cause they are concords and the 11s are fresh. Great story.
My prediction is that there will be major hype for the retro of the olympic 6s, people are gonna go bananas on them (a portion of people will just bandwagon and cop em because their friends are doing it and they feel the shoe is special but don't know why)

Shoes are not worth peoples life, I don't think it really changed the game though.
