they look pretty well kept from the picture. .but what the orange stuff on the heel of the shoe??
probably just the inevitable oxidation.
what im worried about is that the midsole is apprently Foam, but these rarely ever crack from what ive seen due to the lack of a air bubble.

they can still crumble even without the bubbles

youll have to check first hand to really tell especailly if there are no visible cracks. just press your finger into the midsole *do so pretty hard* and see if it bounces back (if its firm).
Good luck!
^good advice bro, thanks! I already knew about the fingernail test, but I heard about another method that can also reduce cracking midsoles. What you do is run hot water and hold the shoes in the steam mist. Apparently the steam moistens the midsoles and prevents them from being brittle (which causes them to crack).

yeah that makes sence. the ony thing would be when the water evaporates and they are fully dry, i think it is safe to say they will be even more brittle. water is once of the most destructive essential things on the planet. think about when people get out of the shower, they were wet and at the time their skin may feel hydraited, but once they are fully dry, they have dry skin and may require lotion
thats a very good point. I think im just going to hold the shoes over the steam for a few minutes at most. the water on the midsoles will get wiped away immedaitely, I would hate for the water to moisten the midsoles TOO much.

I just won a DS pair of 1990 Solo Flights. Will these be wearable? There's no cracks whatsoever and I have only seen one pair of cracked Solo Flights in all of the pairs Ive seen on ebay

they appear to be pretty sturdy from the pictures, but then again, it is a 22-year-old pair of shoes...
