LOCKED - 21 Mercer Petition

Just because something may seem morally wrong or unethical, doesn't make it illegal. I've gone through this entire thread and seen nothing illegal about what Mercer 21 did.

[b]Would you be making this thread?[/b][/quote] got em.....its true tho...[/quote] i have a pair... and also, whats illegal, or more accurately, corrupt, is that mercer knowingly went against two different guidelines Nike sets for itself, and Nike as a brand is supposed to provide for their customers in the ways they guarantee... which was also breached with their online release when the people who had them in checkout lost their pair, completely contradicting there new online plan

Breach? There is no breach. You don't have a contract with Nike or Mercer 21. You had no vested right in the sneakers. If you had won a raffle or been sent a confirmation DM and when you went to get them they had sold them, that's actionable in civil court. This just looks to me like whining. Are you going to claim detrimental reliance because you had to sit at your computer all day? Like I said, legally they've done nothing wrong. Their system may suck, but they haven't opened themselves up to civil or criminal liability.

LOL dont know if anyone saw the contest they had on twitter for the air for ones but the question was name the first three chinese new year AF1's. The winner happened to be a writer from complex who tweets to 21mercer all the time
