Last spring, footwear designer Ronnie Fieg held a giveaway on his Twitter account in which he gave away an unreleased 1-of-1 ASICS GEL-Lyte III sample dubbed the "Salmon Toes." As the nickname suggested, the shoe featured a mostly navy blue upper with white Arch branding and a salmon-colored toebox. Premium materials such as high grade nubuck, leather and pigskin were used for the shoe's construction. Since that giveaway, Fieg has been bombarded with requests from ASICS enthusiasts to send the shoe to production...and it looks like he listened.
A teaser video shared by Ronnie earlier today seemingly breaks the news of an actual "Salmon Toe" release. No exact details were given, but they appear to be "Coming Soon." Check out the clip below and stick with Sole Collector for updates.
