After the Nike MAG auctions went live on eBay last night, a separate auction was held at the Montalban Theater unveiling to hand out the very first pair. Leaving the event as the first official MAG owner was none other than UK rapper Tinie Tempah, whose hit single "Written in the Stars" went platinum in the United States, peaking at #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
One of Tinie's reps told TMZ that he is a serious sneaker collector (he's appeared in a few Sole Collector Celebrity Sneaker Watch posts) and fell in love with the sneakers at last night's event. Tinie's DJ confirmed the bid on his personal Twitter account.
