With no set launch date nailed down for the Summit Lake version of the LeBron VII PS, as compared to the Black/Sport Red/White and White/Sport Red/ Black colorways from last month, the newest colorway is arriving now to retailers nationwide, and has already been spotted on the floor of mall-based Champs Sports locations. (I had to pick up an Eddie Bauer gift card for my Mom last week -- that counts.)
After mostly reserving the Summit Lake colorway strictly to Friends & Family status over the years, the LeBron VII PS marks only the second time that a signature King James model paying tribute to his very first rec-league team, the Summit Lake Hornets, will see a wide release. (First being The Six last year.) Featuring a nubuck material along the upper that the shoe's designer Jason Petrie calls "sparkle-buck," this version of the VII PS also includes two-toned Flywire strands of Varsity Purple and Orion Blue hues to complement the rest of the shoe's accents. Check your local mall for them, and they'll be arriving to online retailers in the very near future as well.
Color: Black/Varsity Purple-Orion Blue
Style: 407639-001
Price: USD $140.00

And here's a look at a sample version, featuring a faded midsole treatment that didn't make it to production.
