For the second time in his Hall of Fame worthy career, Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki is heading to the NBA Finals. Arguably playing the best basketball in this year's playoffs, Dirk is averaging 28 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3 assists in the post-season, while shooting the three-ball at a 52% clip. His hot hand has helped Dallas set up a 2006 Finals rematch with the Miami Heat, who bested the Mavs in a six-game series that year to win their first championship in franchise history.
Throughout this season, Dirk has stayed loyal to the Hyperdunk 2010. Player Edition colorways were even sold at House of Hoops in Dallas and Germany colorways. For the playoffs, Nike has hooked Dirk up with another PE colorway fairly similar to the pair he wore during the regular season.
Dirk's Playoff PE features a white leather upper with hits of Photo Blue working Swoosh branding, the ankle cut-outs, tongue and heel counter. A healthy amount of navy blue is used for the inner liner, trim along the ankle and heel, laces and midsole. Personalization on the tongue and Nike branding on the heel are done in white, while Photo Blue rubber takes care of the outrigger and sections of the outsole to complete the look.
