It's easy to write Kevin Love's name in pen when making your choice for the NBA's Most Improved Players, but we can't overlook the breakout season of Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook. Westbrook has upped his scoring by 6 full points, managed to increase his assist average and is shooting the best percentages of his career. What started as a Gold Medal World Championship campaign for Team USA in Turkey last summer has obviously translated to the NBA hardwood and the Thunder are all the better for it.
Being such a high-flyer in addition to his natural speed, Westbrook needs a shoe that is light, but offers a fair amount of impact protection. That's why the All-Star has been wearing Player Exclusive colorways of the Nike Air Max Fly By. This colorway, which Russell debuted on Christmas and bears a strong resemblance to Kevin Durant's holiday shoe, sports a vibrant yellow upper. Photo blue accents the look on the Swoosh logos, inner liner and Max Air unit. Also blue are Russell's 'Why Not?' logo and the callout to his fallen friend Khelcey "KB3" Barrs on the tongue.
