Over the past few weeks it seemed like more and more Air Jordan 2011 colorways were coming out of the wood work. Not to mention releasing sooner than later.
Last week Jordan Brand released info that three new colorways of the Air Jordan 2011 would release this Saturday, April 30th. A black/neon lime, varsity red/wolf grey-medium grey and a tech grey/black-orion blue-chlorine blue were the colorways set to hit. Other than the official date set, no other info came about. Many people were led to believe that they would either be limited releases or, release at a later date. With only one day upon us and no stores officially scheduled to have any of the three colorways tomorrow, it started to look like they were not going to release.
Earlier today Jordan Brand took to their Twitter account to update us all on the situation. Here is what they said:
"Update: the three new Air Jordan 2011 colorways will be released later next month. We'll keep you posted with more details."
With that being said, I can now confirm to you all that the new release date is looking to be May 21st. They will not be a limited House of Hoops exclusive and if you are looking to get a pair or two or three, you should be able to. All three colorways mentioned above will release and retail for $170. While this may be bad news for some, I for one am happy that I have some more time to put my money together and not risk missing a pair. Does this new release date make you happy as well?
