Last night, JaVale McGee got PEAK some of their first national exposure here in the United States by wearing 5 different colorways of the Relentless shoe during the contest. The analysts often commented on the shoes, and though the comments weren't exactly positive, PEAK got a couple of close-ups throughout the night. It was also interesting to hear how much Dwight Howard knew about the brand.
On his second attempt in the contest, McGee dunked three basketballs into one hoop. For the dunk, he wore this camouflage colorway of the PEAK Relentless. Nicknamed the "Commander in Chief," McGee flashes a salute after every successful dunk. He also participates in Wizards events for the troops, so his admiration for the military was clearly an inspiration for this colorway.
The 'Camo' Relentless features a grey synthetic upper with camouflage print appearing on the toe, tongue, heel and pull-tab. White is used for military-style text is used for McGee personalization on the tongue and heel, as well as the upper lace eyelets and a contrast stitch throughout. On the ankle is a debossed callout to the street McGee grew up on in Flint, Michigan.
