Sometimes, simply owning a McFarlane basketball figure isn't enough.

For people into sneakers as much as us, every last touch, even down to the shoes, can be an important detail not to be overlooked.

Considering the real-life lingering resentment between both Shaquille O'Neal and Kobe Bryant, hoops fan and sneaker collector "Shaqrules" hardly considers himself a Kobe fan. "I just wanted a figure that no one has," he says.

He went as far as having his #8 era Kobe Bryant McFarlane figure custom painted to include one of Kobe's most rare adidas kicks, the much coveted "USA Flag" adidas The Kobe Two. It's been rumored for awhile that only twelve pairs were made of the shoes that Kobe wore in the 2001 season home opener to pay tribute to those affected by the 9/11 tragedies. If you can't get the actual shoe, this is a pretty decent consolation.
