In an effort to salute their original basketball pioneer, Converse flashed back to the days of Dr. J for their 35th Anniversary Black History Month offering, the Star Player EV. Sporting a black tumbled leather upper, the Star Player is dressed in varnish print illustrating the career achievement of Hall of Famer Julius Erving. Tonal nubuck is used for branding on the side panels, while metallic gold accents the look throughout, including the BHM heel tab. The final touches are added with a set of waxed laces and a gold rubber outsole.
