This was the third Air Jordan XVI colorway released. It was also the first of a new series, that would change its title many times throughout the years. These are labeled as the Air Jordan XVI+. Reason for this is because it gave Jordan Brand a new way to re-introduce the current model with a twist. They featured a leather toe box which is only found on this colorway as the previous two colorways featured patent leather, and the final colorway featured nubuck. This colorway is known as the "Cherrywood's" and got its nickname due to the shoes colorway description. They retailed for $160 and were a general release. The came with the same removable shrouds that the previous two colorways came with, and are reversable. Thus giving the owner many choices as to how they wanted to rock their pair.
