This black/varsity red original Air Jordan XII colorway was the fourth of the five released. It was the last to have the style number of "130690" as well, as the "playoff" and final XII colorway featured a new one. These retailed for $135. They were retroed for the first time in 2003, and then again in 2009. The 2009 version however was different from the originals as it featured a nubuck upper rather than leather as well as some unique icons/logos as they are known as the "Flu Game's." This colorway will forever remain in Jordan history because it was these that MJ battled the flu in game 5 of the 1997 NBA Finals and scored 38 points while leading his team to a win over the Utah Jazz.
