This was the second original colorway of the Air Jordan V. It was released in 1990 and features the 3M reflective tongue like the first colorway did. These were retroed for the first time in 2000, and still featured the infamous "Nike Air" on the back of them. In 2007 they came out again, but this time featuring a "Jumpman" on the back and an added "23" stitched on the heels much like the PE's seen on MJ's feet back 1990. 2011 saw them return for a fourth time, and without the "23" on the sides.

Quality is much more crisp. As far as cushioning goes it's good but due to the technology limit from the time the shoes were released..the cushioning is not as good as the recent retros. Also the 3m tongue has a much different feel than any other
