In 2007, Jordan Brand released its first pair of sneakers for Nike's Doernbecher Freestyle Series. This Air Jordan II, designed by Sheridan Brenton was a limited Nike exclusive. These were only available at Niketown's and online at NikeStore.com. They retailed for $140 with all the proceeds going to help the Seattle Children’s Hospital and for research to help find cures. The colorway and design was inspired by Sheridan’s school as well as his love for religion with his favorite verse from the bible, Proverbs 8:28, stitched on the tongue.
